1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Job Placements Guyana or ServeGY (collectively "the Platform"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, and agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the Platform.

2. About Our Platform

Job Placements Guyana operates an online platform connecting:

• Job seekers with employers posting vacancies in Guyana
• Customers with local service providers via ServeGY
• Employers with a pool of active and passive job candidates

We are a marketplace platform, not an employer or service provider. We do not employ job seekers, we do not provide services, and we do not guarantee the quality, legality, or suitability of any listings, candidates, or providers on our platform. All agreements between users are made directly between the parties involved.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that contains false information, violates our policies, or engages in fraudulent or harmful activity.

4. Service Providers (ServeGY)

If you list your services on ServeGY, you agree that:

• All information in your profile is accurate and truthful
• You have the legal right to offer the services you advertise
• You will submit to our identity verification process honestly
• You will not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or availability
• You will respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
• You accept sole responsibility for the services you provide to customers
• Any agreements, payments, and disputes are between you and your customers directly

We reserve the right to remove, suspend, or restrict any provider listing at our discretion, including for poor reviews, customer complaints, or violations of these terms.

5. Employers & Job Posters

If you post job vacancies on our platform, you agree that:

• All job listings are genuine, legal, and comply with Guyana's labour laws
• You will not post discriminatory, misleading, or exploitative job listings
• You will not use the platform to collect candidate data for purposes other than legitimate hiring
• You are authorised to represent the company or individual for whom you are posting

We reserve the right to remove any job listing that does not comply with these terms or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on our platform:

• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, profiles, or information
• Harassment, threatening, or abusive communication with other users
• Using the platform to solicit payments for services never rendered
• Scraping, copying, or republishing our content without written permission
• Attempting to circumvent our verification or review systems
• Posting spam, promotional content, or irrelevant listings
• Engaging in any activity that violates the laws of Guyana
• Using fake identities or impersonating other individuals or businesses

Violations of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Job Placements Guyana shall not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform
• The conduct, acts, or omissions of any employer, job seeker, or service provider
• The quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any service, job, or listing
• Any disputes between users of the Platform
• Loss of data, revenue, or business resulting from Platform downtime or errors

Our Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Payments & Fees

Browsing the Platform, posting a task (ServeGY), and searching for jobs are free for customers and job seekers. Service providers and employers pay subscription or listing fees as published on our Pricing pages.

All fees are quoted in Guyanese Dollars (GYD) or US Dollars (USD) as indicated. Payments are processed securely. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time with reasonable notice. Existing paid subscriptions will be honoured for the duration of the paid period.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Guyana.
