Description
Kiskadee Coffee is looking for a reliable, friendly Security Officer to help keep our café safe and welcoming for customers and staff.
What you’ll do
- Monitor the café entrance, seating area, and surroundings during opening hours
- Greet customers and help maintain a calm, respectful environment
- Watch for and deter theft, loitering, and disruptive behaviour
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including securing doors, windows, and stock
- Keep an eye on incoming deliveries and stored supplies
- Respond to incidents calmly and report them to management
- Support staff with crowd flow during busy periods and catering events
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in security (retail, hospitality, or similar preferred)
- Security training or certification is an advantage
- Valid police clearance
- Professional, courteous manner — you’re often the first face customers see
- Punctual, alert, and dependable
- Good communication skills; comfortable using WhatsApp for team updates
- Able to stand for long periods and work weekends/holidays as scheduled
