The successful candidate will play a key part in conducting audits, reconciling stock discrepancies, and working collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to optimize inventory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update inventory records using inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy of stock transactions, receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent shortages, excess stock, and supply disruptions.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support stock replenishment activities by coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to identify low-stock items.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures aimed at reducing waste, controlling costs, and improving supply chain efficiency.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and inventory discrepancies to inform management decisions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of material and equipment needs.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure inventory data is updated promptly and accurately.

Requirements

  • CSEC certification with passes in Mathematics and English, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environments.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems, stock control practices, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
