Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, manage stock rotation, and ensure product availability. Regularly conduct inventory audits and manage restocking schedules.
• Supplier Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing, handle orders, and manage delivery schedules.
• Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by providing expert advice on marine products, assisting with product selection, and handling any customer inquiries or concerns.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise chandlery staff to ensure they are knowledgeable, efficient, and deliver exceptional service. Schedule shifts and oversee daily staff performance.
• Sales and Promotions: Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and seasonal displays to boost customer engagement and drive revenue.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest marine products, technologies, and industry trends to effectively assist customers and provide recommendations.
• Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure profitability targets are met. Handle daily cash management, sales reporting, and other financial tasks.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the store operates according to health and safety regulations, keeping the workplace safe and clean for staff and customers.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintenance of store equipment, and upkeep of the physical environment.
