<li>Demonstrate expertise in pilot testing and formulation development for drilling and completion fluid systems.</li>
<li>Have a strong understanding of Non-Aqueous Fluid (NAF) Systems, including Oil-Based Muds (OBM).</li>
<li>Possess hands-on experience with Water-Based Mud (WBM) systems, including SDKD and WPWBM.</li>
<li>Have experience formulating and testing single-, double-, and triple-salt brine systems, including NaCl, NaBr, CaBr₂, and KCl.</li>
<li>Demonstrate proficiency in conducting TCT/PCT brine testing and evaluating fluid performance.</li>
<li>Have a thorough understanding of API drilling fluid testing standards and industry best practices.</li>
<li>Possess experience with laboratory equipment calibration, certification, maintenance, and quality assurance processes.</li>
<li>Have ability to run appropriate tests and interpret results accurately.</li>
<li>Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Have ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Possess general knowledge of specialty chemical and drilling fluid applications.</li>

<p>Under the overall supervision of Head of Office, the Resources Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Country Office&#8217;s financial, human resources, procurement, logistics, and administrative functions. The role ensures effective resource management, budget monitoring, internal controls, compliance with organizational policies, and operational support to facilitate the successful implementation of programmes and projects.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Support the monitoring and overseeing the financial management for all activities in the Country Office including the review of financial expenditure and accountability.</li>
<li>Facilitate the management of the treasury by forecasting cash flows according to CO activities and its Sub-Offices. Support the monitoring and control of funds disbursed; validate that funding is received and disbursed in accordance with donor agreements.</li>
<li>Prepare relevant financial reviews of projects by overseeing the budget control process and analyse variances between budget and actual expenditures. Take proactive action to prevent projects from going into deficit.</li>
<li>Assist with the annual budget preparation for the Country Office by facilitating the monitoring of budget control and analyse variances between budget and actual expenditures. Support the preparation of budgets for new projects and programmes.</li>
<li>Support the maintenance and assist in strengthening appropriate internal controls to safeguard the Organization’s assets, cash and prevent fraud.</li>
<li>Review payroll versus budgets, validate that salaries are correctly allocated to projects consistent with IOM’s projectization criteria.</li>
<li>Draft project and donor financial reports in accordance with IOM regulations and established procedures.</li>
<li>Participate in reviewing existing systems and procedures and, if necessary, recommend possible improvements to strengthen internal monitoring, evaluation and control systems and improve efficiency and effectiveness.</li>
<li>Assist in managing the Human Resources function and make recommendations on recruitment and personnel administration of staff in the Country Office. Correctly apply Human Resources (HR) policies, rules and regulations and make recommendations for resolving difficult or sensitive cases in consultation with the COM and SRRMO.</li>
<li>Oversee the Supply Chain services, including contracts with suppliers of goods and services and related administrative authorities; oversee the management of the fleet of vehicles and the maintenance of the premises as well as the functioning of all support services at the Country Office.</li>

<p>Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer (Regular Pathways &amp; Socioeconomic Integration), this position is responsible for supporting the labour market integration of newly arrived migrants by developing and implementing employment-focused activities that promote sustainable inclusion in the local workforce. The incumbent works closely with public institutions, training providers, NGOs and business networks to strengthen pathways to employment, while maintaining accurate programme data and monitoring results. The position also contributes to programme planning, reporting, budget monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and staff guidance to ensure effective, responsive, and labour market-driven integration support for migrants.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Support individualized case management and referral follow-up for migrants, ensuring timely needs assessment, documentation, coordination with relevant service providers, tracking of assistance provided, and regular follow-up to support access to services and progress toward integration outcomes.</li>
<li>Plan, implement and monitoring labour market integration activities targeting newly arrived migrants, ensuring alignment with local labour market needs and inclusion strategies.</li>
<li>Collect, compile, and analyze labour market data, including sector demand, skills shortages and barriers faced by migrants (e.g., language, credential recognition, legal restrictions); provide actionable insights to inform targeted job matching strategies.</li>

<p>This position plays a key role in Inventory Control for the agency.</p>
<p>To conduct manual and automatic input of container’s tracking moves on a scheduled basis and/or as directed. Produce and provide daily/weekly/monthly updates to stakeholders, management and the Line on equipment situation and immediate requirements. Manage full and empty overdue containers effectively within the Line’s guidelines for long idle day containers. Liaise with the terminal operators to develop and build robust relationships between the Agency and Terminals in order to support an efficient and accurate reporting system.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Plan and coordinate the sealing of empty containers for evacuations.</li>
<li>Producing daily/weekly/monthly reports regarding depot/port moves and tracking movements.</li>
<li>Performing Port/Terminal visits to verify container(s) inclusive of gathering picture data on location of missing containers and assessing liability with relevant information and documents.</li>
<li>Verify the information provided to Head Office through tracking updates in online platforms and local stock tallies.</li>
<li>Introducing relevant and innovative solutions for the most efficient use of CMA CGM equipment (inclusive of loading, discharging, invoicing and damage review of units).</li>
<li>Monitoring of specialized equipment (primarily Reefers) and ensuring quick evacuation is exercised to reduce unnecessary overheads to the Line.</li>
<li>Managing the overdue on full and empty containers and ensuring that long-idle-day containers are addressed effectively.</li>
<li>Provide support to the Vessel Operation Team.</li>
<li>Plan and coordinate the arrival and departure of the vessel. Preparing the relevant documentations and seeking approvals from the various authorities for discharge and loading of vessels.</li>

<p>The IDB Country Office in Guyana is looking for an active undergraduate student to be hired as a 2026 intern under the Consultant modality.</p>
<p>The COF/Offices Internship Program is a paid opportunity for university students from member countries to learn about development work and corporate management of the Bank, and to acquire work experience at the professional level through on-the-job learning.</p>
<h2>What you’ll do</h2>
<ul>
<li>Gather and review publicly accessible economic data, reports, publications, and market information to support ongoing projects and analyses.</li>
<li>Compile, clean, and analyze statistical and economic data using spreadsheets or other analytical tools to identify trends.</li>
<li>Under the guidance of the Economic Specialist, create a simple model highlighting key indicators of inflation pass-through in Guyana for internal use only.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What you&#8217;ll need</h2>
<p><strong>Education:</strong> An active undergraduate student in Economics from an accredited University. The graduation date cannot be prior to the last day of the Internship.</p>
<p><strong>Languages:</strong> Be proficient in English. Working knowledge in another of the Bank’s official language/s is a plus (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, or French).</p>
<p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong> Result-driven, collaborative, innovative, client-oriented, strong communicator, self-motivated, eager to learn, and excellent time management event.</p>
<p><strong>Technical skills:</strong> Proficiency in statistical software, data analysis, and economic modeling.</p>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Citizenship:</strong> You are a citizen or a legal resident of Guyana.</li>
<li><strong>Active student:</strong> Enrolled in an undergraduate (bachelor’s) program as of the starting date of the internship program. The graduation date should be after the Internship period.</li>
<li><strong>Consanguinity:</strong> Not have family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.</li>
<li><strong>First job at the IDB Group:</strong> Be a first-time participant in an Internship Program held by the Bank or Inter-American Investment Corporation (“Corporation” also known as “IDB Invest”). In addition, you have not been a former staff member, Complementary Workforce (“CW”), contractor for the Bank or the Corporation, or have previously provided services to the Bank or the Corporation through a contractor or under any other contractual modality.</li>
</ul>

commercially driven <strong>Sales Representative</strong> to strengthen<br />
our presence in the Guyanese market, with a primary focus on the sale<br />
of <strong>ISUZU trucks</strong> and related products.</p>
<h2>About the Role</h2>
<p>As Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new<br />
business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships,<br />
and guiding customers through the complete sales process—from the<br />
first introduction and needs assessment to quotation, delivery,<br />
and after-sales follow-up.</p>
<p>You will work closely with customers in sectors such as<br />
transportation, construction, logistics, distribution,<br />
agriculture, and other industries that rely on dependable<br />
commercial vehicles.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who enjoys<br />
developing new markets, visiting customers, building long-term<br />
partnerships, and achieving measurable sales results.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Proactively identify and approach potential customers and new business opportunities in Guyana.</li>
<li>Promote and sell ISUZU trucks and related products and services.</li>
<li>Assess customers&#8217; operational and transportation needs and recommend suitable truck solutions.</li>
<li>Conduct sales meetings, presentations, customer visits, and product demonstrations.</li>
<li>Prepare, present, and follow up on quotations, proposals, and financing documentation where applicable.</li>
<li>Negotiate commercial terms and close sales within established company guidelines.</li>
<li>Generate, register, manage, and follow up on sales leads.</li>
<li>Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop long-term business partnerships.</li>
<li>Coordinate and monitor the sales and delivery process.</li>
<li>Follow up with customers after delivery and address questions, expectations, or complaints professionally.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate customer information, quotations, visit reports, sales files, and order documentation.</li>
<li>Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and commercial opportunities.</li>
<li>Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.</li>
<li>Support sales and marketing activities aimed at increasing brand visibility and sales performance.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What We Are Looking For</h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional working and thinking level, preferably in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related commercial field.</li>
<li>Approximately 2–3 years of relevant sales experience.</li>
<li>Experience in automotive sales, commercial vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, transport, or a related B2B environment is a strong advantage.</li>
<li>Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and ability to close sales.</li>
<li>Proven ability to prospect for new customers and develop a sales pipeline.</li>
<li>Strong relationship-building and networking skills.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work with CRM or sales administration systems.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, reporting, and follow-up skills.</li>
<li>Customer-oriented, service-minded, resilient, and results-driven.</li>
<li>Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and management.</li>
