                    <description><![CDATA[<p>In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.</p>

<p>To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position Of</p>
<h1>Site Services Supervisor</h1>
<p>The Site Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities at the facility, ensuring that equipment, infrastructure, and systems are operating efficiently and safely. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<h3>Supervision &amp; Team Management</h3>
<ul>
<li>Site Service supervisor must be able to Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of maintenance staff</li>
<li>Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure quality work</li>
<li>Provide training, guidance, and support to technicians and tradesmen</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures</li>
</ul>
<h3>Maintenance Operations</h3>
<ul>
<li>Oversee maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems</li>
<li>Ensure proper functioning of equipment in water treatment, sewage systems, and facility infrastructure</li>
<li>Coordinate corrective and emergency maintenance work</li>
<li>Inspect completed work to ensure standards are met</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preventive Maintenance Planning</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules</li>
<li>Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements</li>
<li>Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports</li>
<li>Reduce downtime through proactive maintenance strategies</li>
</ul>
<h3>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</h3>
<ul>
<li>Enforce workplace health and safety regulations</li>
<li>Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards</li>
<li>Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments</li>
</ul>
<h3>Troubleshooting &amp; Problem Solving</h3>
<ul>
<li>Diagnose complex maintenance issues and coordinate repairs</li>
<li>Ensure timely resolution of faults to minimize operational disruption</li>
<li>Liaise with contractors and external service providers when required</li>
</ul>
<h3>Inventory &amp; Resource Management</h3>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and control maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts</li>
<li>Ensure availability of necessary materials and supplies</li>
<li>Assist in budgeting and cost control for maintenance activities</li>
</ul>
<h3>Reporting &amp; Communication</h3>
<ul>
<li>Prepare and submit maintenance reports to management</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and other departments</li>
<li>Participate in planning and operational meetings</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications/Skills And Experience</h2>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field</li>
<li>Supervisory or leadership training is an asset.</li>
<li>Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in maintenance operations.</li>
<li>At least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, Industrial or facility maintenance practices.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Water treatment and sewage systems (preferred).</li>
<li>Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.</li>
<li>Minimum 3–5 years’ hands-on maintenance experience in industrial or commercial environments</li>
<li>Experience supervising teams and coordinating maintenance work</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs</li>
<li>Experience working under pressure and handling emergency repairs</li>
</ul>
<h2>Working Conditions</h2>
<ul>
<li>Position based at the OKO Project site.</li>
<li>Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off</li>

<h2>The Role</h2>
<p>Are you a passionate SHEQ leader who thrives on creating safe, compliant, and high-performing work environments? We are looking for an experienced Country SHEQ Manager to lead our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality function across our operations in Guyana.</p>
<p>In this pivotal leadership role, you will work closely with the Group Head of SHEQ to drive our SHEQ strategy, ensuring our Integrated Management System (IMS), policies, and standards are consistently implemented across all project activities. You will play a key role in shaping a proactive safety culture, reducing operational risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and championing quality throughout the business.</p>
<p>Leading the Guyana SHEQ team, you will partner with operational leaders, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to embed best practice, support continuous improvement, and ensure every project is delivered safely, responsibly, and to the highest quality standards.</p>
<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Work in partnership with the Group Head of SHEQ to ensure all country-level SHEQ systems, processes, and documentation align with Company standards, IMS requirements, and Group SHEQ strategy.</li>
<li>Implement and manage a comprehensive safety and risk management strategy aligned with company goals and industry best practices.</li>
<li>Lead and support with the conduction SHEQ risk assessments across all project activities and ensuring risks are identified and safety measures implemented.</li>
<li>Ensure the safety of all project personnel through the implementation of safety protocols, training, and the provision of safety equipment and the required PPE.</li>
<li>Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and standards, including waste management and environmental impact assessments across all project activities.</li>
<li>Manage quality assurance processes to ensure all project activities meet quality standards and specifications.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain incident response plans for all project activities to address safety breaches, accidents, and other emergencies.</li>
<li>Conduct incident and non-compliance investigations and introduce processes and procedures to prevent recurrence.</li>
<li>Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across project sites, offices, and operational areas to monitor compliance with safety policies.</li>
<li>Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure they meet safety requirements.</li>
<li>Provide Health, Safety, and Environmental training to employees and contractors across all project activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Establish emergency response procedures for all project activities and coordinate with local authorities when required.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality regulations, standards, and certifications.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to health, safety, quality, and environmental measures.</li>
<li>Ensure all documentation aligns with IMS requirements and is consistent with Group SHEQ standards.</li>
<li>Weekly progress reports to management, highlighting potential issues, threats, and suggestions for mitigation.</li>
<li>Escalate key SHEQ risks, trends, and compliance matters to the Group Head of SHEQ to support Group-level oversight and assurance.</li>
<li>Review all project SHEQ documentation at regular intervals, ensuring alignment with Company standards and the Integrated Management System (IMS).</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Group Head of SHEQ to update, refine, and standardise policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure all project-specific documentation remains current, compliant, and consistent with Group SHEQ requirements.</li>
<li>Lead, manage, and develop the SHEQ team in Guyana, ensuring consistent application of Company standards and IMS requirements across all project activities.</li>
<li>Act as the primary SHEQ liaison for Guyana, ensuring effective communication and alignment with the Group Head of SHEQ.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Essential Criteria</h2>
<h3>Your Experience &amp; Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in SHEQ &amp; safety management (ideally within the construction industry).</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards and ISO Accreditation / Certification.</li>
<li>Fluent in English.</li>
<li>Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
